We’ve just been having a look at Mark’s wordpress site, which is a fantastic read for anyone with an interest in using digital tools and social media in academia. There are a lot of resources and information around this topic, including tweeting, podcasting, blogging and video casting.

There are still a few spaces available for this event, which should be well worth making time for. If you can’t come along next week, it’s being run again in Edinburgh on 17th May.
Transition skills: staff and student event
Wednesday 11th May, 10.30 – 3pm, Dalhousie Room 2F11
This event will offer access to a suite of newly created student and staff resources. These resources have been designed for staff to help students gain an understanding of the changes in their transitions and to face these changes as a normal part of their higher education.
Staff and students attending the event will be able to use the resources in an interactive workshop and, by providing feedback, will influence the final design of the resources prior to their publication and distribution across the Scottish higher education sector.
